Raymund Yong, MD works in the field of treatment of malignant and benign brain tumors. He mainly treats patients with all general disorders of the brain and spine. He has done training in removing tumors from eloquent regions of brains including the areas for language and motor function—using computer-guided navigation, brain mapping techniques, and awake surgery. Dr. Yong also has a strong research interest in using new insights into how gliomas originate and evolve through time to develop innovative treatment strategies for his patients. He also received several national and international awards in the field of stem cells and cancer genetics. He also collaborates with other investigators and institutions to enroll patients in clinical trials studying the latest experimental treatments. He mainly does all his laboratory preparation and research on cancer.
