Dr. James Altieri graduated from Albany Medical College in Albany, New York. After graduating, he entered the military and completed his internship and family practice residency at the Pensacola Naval Hospital in Pensacola, Florida. During his military career, Dr Altieri served as a primary care physician while stationed in Japan, Guam, and North Carolina. Following his honourable discharge in 2000, Dr Altieri began practising family; he serves as director of Wellness and Hospital Medicine for Graduate Medical Education at Lexington Medical Center, as well as assistant professor of Clinical Medicine at the University of South Carolina School of Medicine in Columbia and at the Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine in Spartanburg, South Carolina. He is associated with the spring valley family practice. He works in the field of primary care.
